How to use reusable nappies?

Reusable nappies work much like disposables, just with a little extra prep. Start by fitting the nappy snugly around your baby, making sure it’s secure around the legs to help prevent leaks. Our styles use inserts for absorbency, which you simply place inside before use. Once soiled, remove any solids, store the nappy in a dry or wet bag, and pop it in the wash when ready.

Is it worth using reusable nappies?

For many parents, yes. Reusable nappies can be more cost-effective over time, gentler on baby’s skin, and a lower-waste option compared to disposables. They’re designed to be washed and reused again and again, making them a practical choice for everyday wear — especially once you’ve found a routine that works for you.

How many reusable nappies do I need?

This depends on how often you plan to wash. On average, around 15–25 reusable nappies is a good starting point if you’re washing every 2–3 days. Newborns may need more frequent changes, while older babies often need fewer nappies per day.

How to wash reusable nappies?

Remove solids first, then store used nappies in a dry or breathable bag until wash day. Wash on a warm cycle using a baby-friendly detergent and avoid fabric softener as it can reduce absorbency. Most reusable nappies can be air-dried or tumble-dried on a low heat. Always check the care label for best results.
